This is how we play

The boys are blessed to have a lot of toys, they really do. And they are lucky to have a mom who lets them make a mess and spread the toys pretty much everywhere, however, they know they have to help clean up after playtime. Sometimes they do it no problem. Sometimes, I find myself doing it mostly all. Oh well.

I like to see them play together. It's one of my favorite things.

I've said it before, the kids like to dress up all the time and it's pretty hilarious at times.
For example, have you ever seen a spaceship riding a horse? If you haven't, you are lucky! Here it is.

What did you like to do when little?
What do your little ones like to do?
I love the stage they are in. I do.

We went to our meditation house on Sunday. Remember I had said that it was unfinished and it needed walls inside and stuff? Well, it's almost done. And oh my if we love how it looks like! It looks so cozy.

And our swing has been hung. Finally!

Do you know the story of the swing? Well, here it is.

We got the swing as house warming present from Joe's dad and stepmom. It was hung in our back porch. One warm sunny Sunday, Joe and I -8 months pregnant- were swinging and relaxing when BAM! To the floor we went! Oh yes, that was VERY SCARY! I had a baby inside me you know?! Fortunately nothing happened other than a big scare. So we said let's get it hang again. We did. And then, BAM! Again. This time, my mother-in-law was rocking the baby I once had in my belly. He was maybe 6 months or so? Fortunately nothing bad happened. Just the scare. And guess what? WE NEVER HUNG the thing again. So we are excited that HOPEFULLY we will be able to use it this time. We'll see...

Anyway, we added a sleeping area/loft.

Does't it look good? We love it and can't wait to use it once it's done. Honestly, I think I would be happy living there. Less to clean :)

mOnKeY bUsiNeSs

This is what he does everyday when he wants a snack. Drags the chair to the pantry and grabs something out of there.

He got a granola bar. His favorite ones.

We went to the zoo on Saturday. Perfect day and weather for it. Not crowded either. Just perfect.

The birds kept getting on top of Mark's shoulders

The sea lions were so pretty and playful. Relaxing to watch them swim too.

This gorilla was very stunning and powerful. But I felt bad for him. He looked lonely, very. Out in the wild they are in groups and I wonder if he ever felt that. Being with others...

Momma orangutan just had a baby girl. Such a sweet scene of the mom taking care of her tiny baby.

We got to feed the giraffes, it was pretty cool and they are beautiful and sweet.

And the lions were pretty lazy this time. They were all layout sleeping. Oh, and they have 5 new babies. Pretty grown now.

Even though we had a great time, I always have mixed feelings about a zoo. It is awesome to see them and being able to appreciate and learn about the animals that are naturally thousands and thousands of miles away; and yet at the same time I feel bad because even though they are well taken care of, it is not their natural habitat, it seems unnatural.

We just need to be good human beings and take care of the nature that surround us so our future generations can also appreciate the animals we see today, even at a zoo.

Reduce, reuse and recycle. Let's remember this.

Hallelujah

Hallelujah - Jeff Buckley

Well I heard there was a secret chord
That David played, and it pleased the Lord
But you don't really care for music, do ya?
Well it goes like this
The fourth, the fifth
The minor fall and the major lift
The baffled king composing Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah

Well Your faith was strong but you needed proof
You saw her bathing on the roof
Her beauty and the moonlight overthrew you
she tied you to her kitchen chair
And she broke your throne and she cut your hair
And from your lips she drew the Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah

Well baby I've been here before
I've seen this room and I've walked this floor
I used to live alone before I knew ya
I've seen your flag on the marble arch
Love is not a victory march
It's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah

Well there was a time when you let me know
What's really going on below
But now you never show that to me do you?
And remember when I moved in you?
And the holy dove was moving too
And every breath we drew was Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah

Well maybe there's a God above
But all I've ever learned from love
Was how to shoot somebody who'd OUT DREW YA
And it's not a cry that you hear at night
It's not somebody who's seen in the light
It's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah

Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah

Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah <<(held for a long time)
Hallelujah

Samurai

Have you seen the animated movie Mulan?

We just recently watched it for the first time and my little warrior liked so much that he began doing some marital arts.

And he closes with a bow...

I took the pictures without him noticing, when he was finished he turned around, smiled and did it again.

It was red, very red...

So my mom came to visit and while she was here I told her I wanted to dye my hair -she's a hair dresser- and I told her I wanted to use a dark redish color -I used these kind of colors when I used to dye it-, anyway, we headed to the hair supplies store and got all the stuff she needed.

We headed home and once she was done dying it, I looked in the mirror and what I saw I didn't like much. I saw a red headed older kinda girl. The color was pretty, very pretty, but it was red, very red, and it wasn't me. I looked older than I am and I wanna look like and according to Joe I looked pale and sick. Ha! Yeah, he didn't like it. He said : "I like dark headed girls, I like you more with your natural color, dark " So next morning we dyed it again, dark this time. My hair is not happy. I'm up for some hair masks  to rejuvenate it. But I'm back to my old self.

This is what I looked like while she worked on my hair. And my nose looks big, wow! :)

David didn't like it much...

The sky was pretty though...

I wish I had taken a picture of my red hair. Oh well, that will never happen again. I love my own hair. The more natural the better and I'm comfortable with that and Joe prefers that way also :)

David had been complaining about one of his ears for a couple of days, so yesterday I took him to the doctor to see what was going on.

Ear infection after all :(

But he was still happy...:)

He felt good so we left the doctor's office just in time for story time. His fave!

I told you it was his favorite !

I finished reading the Hunger Games. Wow, great book. It kept me turning page after page without wanting to stop reading. I hope the movie is as good...
