New Toy and Moving Baskets

The boys got a cool fun new toy for Christmas. I found it in a website and I added to their online wishlists. The toy is super cool because you can create different shapes and it's pretty safe for both of them, so far they love them and play with them a lot. I have already the other sets (1, 2)to their wish list so we can add more pieces and make cooler shapes. The toy's name is Ogobild-58. It says it's for 6+ but it has worked just fine for them, with added help from my attach the pieces, other than that it's good to go.

See how neat that toy is? I probably enjoy it just as much as they do while putting it together :)

And so, how about the "moving baskets" from the post title?

Well, we got two baskets in which we store some of the bigger toys and many times the boys just love to dump the toys out and hide underneath them. They walk around the house or crawl under them, it's funny looking seeing two moving baskets around the house.

The things children come out with. They truly enjoy just about everything they can play with :)

Embroidery it is!

I decided what I want to learn to do.

Remember I said I wanted to learn something new this new year? Well, it is going to be embroidery. Why? Because when I was in Elementary and Middle school Sewing and Knitting were the crafts that were taught the most and I burned out then. Too much I guess -specially when there was no interest from my part whatsoever-. So I've been looking around and I think you can do some beautiful things with embroidery. Also, I've been wanting a sewing/embroidery machine for a while now, but honestly I don't wanna add one more thing to our house that's for sale. The less the better.

So I'm excited! I can't wait to go to the crafts store and choose my beginner materials. I've found some good tutorials in some blogs (1,2,3) and I can't wait to try it.

There it is.

Let the embroidery begin... :)

Car Painting

We tried something different this time. Car painting. I spread some paint on kraft paper and gave them some little cars. They moved the cookie sheet around and let the cars go at it. David thought that was pretty hilarious :) They also just moved the cars around. Simple but fun painting time!

They are using Joe's old t-shirts while listening to the Toddler Radio station from Pandora. Isn't Pandora awesome? I LOVE IT! I think I'm addicted :)

Anyway, here goes...

It's dried up and probably ready to be hung along their others paintings.

Have a great week everyone!

Future movie star?

Ok, so Anthony LOVES to recite things he memorizes, like movies, book stories etc. He's got a great memory and one of the things he loves to memorize the most is movies. Here is one...

We recorded this while were in Atlanta visiting my family last month. I wanted to show my mom, and she of course LOVED IT !

UP is probably my favorite animated movie and of course the boys love it too. Have you ever watched it? If you haven't, you should, it's really neat.

So what did you think? Pretty neat ah?

He might be a movie star one day :)
