*During Christmas*

How was your Christmas?

We had a wonderful time with family, and the boys had a great time experiencing and understanding more the meaning of the season. This post is going to be compilation of what Christmas weekend was for us.

We had the yearly luncheon at Joe's work and as always there was delicious food, desserts, and treats. That night, we got together over at his Dad's for the his annual Christmas party.  There were pictures with the great-grandkids, grandkids, and the big kids.

Joe's dad is in the middle

And I also sneaked a picture of Joe and I. We don't have many! So I've decided that this year and the ones to come WE ARE GONNA have more pcitures together, so get ready Mr. T! (He is probable not very excited because he dislikes his picture taken very much :)) But he loves me so and he'll do it :)

Everyone got to open some presents and the kids of course always have a great time.

We went on the next day to open MORE presents yay! This time we got together with Joe's mom and siblings.

Baby Tanner and Daddy got matching SuperMan suits!

Notice my Wonder Woman Tshirt?
Anthony wanted me to dress up as Wonder Woman for Halloween but I couldn't find it, so I surprised him with that shirt that morning. He was ecstatic!

He was so ecstatic that he decided it was time to grow up and shave ! ! ! !

After he shaved, we headed onto our next Christmas opening destination, Joe's dad's.

The three minis got some wheels baby!

And other stuff...

We meant to take a big family picture but time slipped from our hands. Maybe soon. We must.

**********************************************************************

It was Christmas eve at our house and so Mr. T came with the brilliant idea of making the boys EVEN MORE excited about Christmas by making some noise with bells and make some noise in the roof of our house to show the boys that Santa was very VERY close. So, I went on with our routine and while we were reading our books, the noises began. A and D were very excited and curious. We got a video of it with the video camera that I will have to figure out how to upload to show. If not, then it will have to be in person. So anyway, David started hiding under the pillow and Anthony was quietly listening. Very exciting moment. My guy is awesome.

And so Christmas came!

Remember like I said in the previous post that we don't get Baby Jesus out until it's Christmas? Well there he was on Christmas morning.

And the fun began! !

The Whoopee Cushion was a BIG HIT!

What a gift it is to see our kids playing and laughing. The best present any day of the year. It really is.

Joe read Santa's letters to the kids.

And played all morning...

I played and laughed along with them while capturing these very special moments. We hope that you all have had a wonderful Christmas and that you have a great New Year. And I can't wait to party this New Year's Eve and see my family.

Peace and Love,
Take Care...

Feliz Navidad!

What a  great time of year this is, don't you think?

I love Christmas time not only because it's so festive and we get to attend different Christmas lunches and dinners, but because once again we know who reigns in our lives and who gives us the gift of being able to share and spend one more day with our family and friends.  It is a time to remember the immense love God has for us, and for He gave His one and only son for us- His other children.

Everyday I am overwhelmed by God's love for me through my children, my family, friends, little but meaningful moments, and even challenges. Every other little thing that makes me a better person. I am very thankful and I only wish to get closer to God and to be able to accomplish all I want to do.

We can't wait for Christmas morning, so we can see its magic through our children. Anthony keeps asking when is Christmas going to be here, and I told him it was going to be when he saw baby Jesus in the nativity. Yes, we do not set baby Jesus until Christmas morning. It is my Colombian tradition and Joe was kind to go with it. I want the boys to understand through out the years the real meaning of Christmas. It is not only when they see gifts under the tree, but they can see that baby Jesus is born again. A reminder of God's love for us.

We are grateful for every single one of you, and we wish you the best always...

It feels a lot like Christmas...

 I've been gone, haven't I?

Lots going on. Among those, I went to see my family in Atlanta last week. And being with them means no computer time AT ALL. But anyway, here I am with a quite long post.

You may want to have a cup of coffee or any drink of your preference. You can also take some breaks if you need to ;)

Let's begin shall we?

This year I decided to change the decoration of our Christmas tree. We've had the same ornaments for maybe 6 years? And to tell you the truth I got a little tired of them. The tree looked very pretty but it was also kinda formal for us, and now with the boys I decided to make it all about them, and to make it more kid-friendly. So I went to Target and I found the perfect ornaments, and we added a handmade garland too. I'm in love with our tree!

Ok, so that's our tree. What do you think?

Also the decor around has changed a lot and there is less of it. Not that it bothers me, it's just that I feel like this year we needed less and more simplicity.

How many of you parents do the Elf on the Shelf? Our boys LOVE their Elf. Last year they named him Duendecito -spanish for Little Elf- this year, they kept calling him the same and acknowledged him more, his name however, changed to Duane. Joe suggested this name because that's how he would begin to say Duendecito in English. Interesting ha? So Duane is the name of our Elf this year :)

Anthony had his Christmas program from school and he was great! I teared up a little when I saw him singing. He looked so cute and I knew how much he loved to sing those songs around the house before the big day.

We were all so proud of him, including his little brother :) I LOVE this photo!!
I also helped with their Christmas party in his classroom and it was a treat to be there, and to see him interact with his friends was really fun. He was also VERY happy to see his mommy in his classroom. He kept going back and forth to give me a hug :). All his friends are really sweet too.

How about that? I loved having the opportunity to help. It was nice to see what goes on behind the scenes. ;)

Hey, so it has gotten really cold ha? And despite the temperature the boys still want to go outside and play, which I let them of course but I'm not a big fan of very cold weather. It's nice for a while but that's it.

See he even think it's cold!

How are you doing with your Christmas shopping? Joe and I went on Saturday and I have to say that we did a really good job. We used to do the shopping together pre-babies but ever since we had the boys I've been doing it by myself. I have a pretty good Christmas shopping system so I was wondering how it was going to go with my guy coming along. All I have to say is that we are an awesome team!

I can't believe Christmas is next weekend. Once again, time went by way too fast. Meanwhile we are gonna have a cookies every single day of the week. I've found some good yummy recipes and can't wait to make them with the boys. Cookies and more outdoor time!

Take care, stay warm and be safe these Holidays!
