Happy Hunger Games!

Ok, so I didn't go to the midnight premiere last night but I'm gonna be at the movies today being part of the Hunger Games craziness. I can't wait!

Are you going?

What team are you on? Me, I haven't really decided yet. I'm feeling very feminist, so I would say Team Katniss. She rocks! BUT I also love Peeta. And Gale. Oh decisions decisions! :) Maybe after I watch the movie I'll have my mind made up. We'll see...

MIA

Missing in action for sure.

We've been busy and really haven't had the time to seat down and write a post -particularly with pictures- my faves. Also, my sinuses were bothering me really bad during the weekend and the beginning of the week, so I had to lay down and get some rest with my boys, and nap time is usually the time I use to write the posts.

Anyway. We're here and haven't gone anywhere.  I hope you are all well.

Are you a Hunger Games fan?

I am.

I tried to avoid the whole Twilight phenomenon as eventually loving the movies and getting into "Team Edward"; however, but I'm afraid I've been sucked into this one, Hunger Games that is. I decided that at some point in my life I needed to be a groupie of some sort, and I guess this is it. I read the books after hearing about it everywhere from friends, internet, blogs, family, etc...And I LIKED it! LOVE it!

I've been looking for a shirt to wear for the premiere and there is so much out there. Some cool, some not so cool. Maybe not my type.

Anywho, I'll show you what I get when I get it. Right now, I'm liking 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and there is more. I know, I'm not making it easy.

It was red, very red...

So my mom came to visit and while she was here I told her I wanted to dye my hair -she's a hair dresser- and I told her I wanted to use a dark redish color -I used these kind of colors when I used to dye it-, anyway, we headed to the hair supplies store and got all the stuff she needed.

We headed home and once she was done dying it, I looked in the mirror and what I saw I didn't like much. I saw a red headed older kinda girl. The color was pretty, very pretty, but it was red, very red, and it wasn't me. I looked older than I am and I wanna look like and according to Joe I looked pale and sick. Ha! Yeah, he didn't like it. He said : "I like dark headed girls, I like you more with your natural color, dark " So next morning we dyed it again, dark this time. My hair is not happy. I'm up for some hair masks  to rejuvenate it. But I'm back to my old self.

This is what I looked like while she worked on my hair. And my nose looks big, wow! :)

David didn't like it much...

The sky was pretty though...

I wish I had taken a picture of my red hair. Oh well, that will never happen again. I love my own hair. The more natural the better and I'm comfortable with that and Joe prefers that way also :)

David had been complaining about one of his ears for a couple of days, so yesterday I took him to the doctor to see what was going on.

Ear infection after all :(

But he was still happy...:)

He felt good so we left the doctor's office just in time for story time. His fave!

I told you it was his favorite !

I finished reading the Hunger Games. Wow, great book. It kept me turning page after page without wanting to stop reading. I hope the movie is as good...

Future movie star?

Ok, so Anthony LOVES to recite things he memorizes, like movies, book stories etc. He's got a great memory and one of the things he loves to memorize the most is movies. Here is one...

We recorded this while were in Atlanta visiting my family last month. I wanted to show my mom, and she of course LOVED IT !

UP is probably my favorite animated movie and of course the boys love it too. Have you ever watched it? If you haven't, you should, it's really neat.

So what did you think? Pretty neat ah?

He might be a movie star one day :)

The Help

My friend Jayma and I went to see the movie The Help on Friday night.

I had been hesitant on watching the movie before reading the book, because with the movie you usually miss a lot of details. But I also think that if you read the book first you would expect too much out of the movie and maybe be disappointed because all the details were not compiled the way they should have been.

Anyway, the movie was really good. I really enjoyed it and even though I have not read the book, I think they did a very good job getting my attention. The movie made me laugh and cry -literally.

Go watch it, I think you'll like it too.
Have a happy Monday :)

Weekend

Joe was off this weekend and that is always a treat. We went to see Kung Fu Panda 2 and we loved it! I think Joe and I enjoyed it as much or more than the boys did. The movie is hilarious, fun and has awesome graphics. Go watch it, you'll like it.

I went to a baby shower to one of the daughters of my friend a.k.a. uncle Polo. He was the manager of the restaurant where I used to work and he and his family are really nice people and are very special to me. She is having daughter #2

Later that day, the boys played in the yard with sprinklers and water.

Applied lots of California Baby Bug Repellent to baby David, because he's got a really bad reaction to bug bites and I don't want to use the OFF staff, and besides, this one works really well

Picked my herbs and dried some

Appreciated my backyard and lovely things that are growing out

On Sunday we went to our nephew's 6th birthday party, and didn't take any pictures because I was having as much fun as the kids playing the moonwalk and ball pit. Oh, good time I had. I felt like a little girl once again. Today is his real birthday so

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JACOB!
 WE LOVE U

He loves green, all things outdoors, camo, four wheelers, and super heros:)

I finished the day with a the Power Yoga DVD with Rodney Yee, that kicked my butt! Legs are pretty sore right now, but it did so good to my lower back. I will do it again.

Have a great week!
