Glosoli

Joe introduced me to this band named Sigur Ros (from Iceland) when we met and I have loved them ever since. I listened to them A LOT. It's just such cool music and even though I have no idea what they are saying, it seems to take your mind away for a while.

I've been chasing them for a while to be able to go see them but no luck. Hopefully one day we will be able to see them, and that day would be a very nice and fun day.

Joe is a lover of music, a total aficionado. I'm glad he is. I probably otherwise would not know of the amazing, cool, fun, crazy, beautiful music that is out there.

Thank you...

Are you guys enjoying the summer?

I can't believe school is about to start. Anthony is getting excited of going back, even though he keeps thinking that his old teacher is going to be there, but she won't. He still doesn't understand that she is gone to another school and that you usually change teacher when you move up. Last night however, he asked when he was going to start, I think he misses it a little.

We have been having a lot of fun this summer even though we were house bound a couple of weeks with the boys. You know, one with the hives then the other one with a cold that turned pneumonia. I have to say, that we handled it pretty good, I truly enjoyed that time of just chilling, doing house stuff, lots of crafts and painting, cleaning, organizing, and taking care of my little guys. It's my job and I love it. Some days are difficult of course, but I've learned to manage it better. All my patience prayers are becoming a reality little by little.

Hallelujah

Hallelujah - Jeff Buckley

Well I heard there was a secret chord
That David played, and it pleased the Lord
But you don't really care for music, do ya?
Well it goes like this
The fourth, the fifth
The minor fall and the major lift
The baffled king composing Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah

Well Your faith was strong but you needed proof
You saw her bathing on the roof
Her beauty and the moonlight overthrew you
she tied you to her kitchen chair
And she broke your throne and she cut your hair
And from your lips she drew the Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah

Well baby I've been here before
I've seen this room and I've walked this floor
I used to live alone before I knew ya
I've seen your flag on the marble arch
Love is not a victory march
It's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah

Well there was a time when you let me know
What's really going on below
But now you never show that to me do you?
And remember when I moved in you?
And the holy dove was moving too
And every breath we drew was Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah

Well maybe there's a God above
But all I've ever learned from love
Was how to shoot somebody who'd OUT DREW YA
And it's not a cry that you hear at night
It's not somebody who's seen in the light
It's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah

Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah

Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah <<(held for a long time)
Hallelujah

Weekend

What a great weekend we had. Saturday was really relaxing. Joe, Anthony and I hiked up the hill while David took his nap at Grandpa's house. We went up to the Meditation House to check and see how it was holding up, and it is. It looked very pretty surrounded by all the trees full of green leaves.

I had never hiked to the meditation house during the summer because is so hot that I don't even want to try. But this day, it was so pretty! And the best of all was that there are so many trees along the way creating shade, you don't feel the heat. Such a pretty walk. I wish I had the camera to show you all what I mean.

Anyway, Sunday we went to a special birthday party. Our nephew Tanner's first birthday party! Geez, time is passing by so quick...He was a cutie and enjoyed his day very much :)

Isn't he handsome? We love him, he's a sweetie :)

And guess what else we did this weekend?

Joe and I went to see Matisyahu that night after the birthday party. You know? that guy I have been wanting to see and he was even on my wish list of things to do this coming year before my next birthday? Well, I got to see him! It was such a great show. He is an amazing artist, he truly is.
I had so much fun and we got to see him really close thanks to the size of the venue where the show was. It was not very big so it was perfect!

If I had known we were not going to have trouble by bringing in cameras I would have brought mine. Oh well, I guess I at least had my always handy phone :) I got me this t-shirt too, isn't it neat?

Oh, we so enjoyed that show! And if you get the chance to see him, GO, you'll like him :)

Have a good week!

And I am going to scratch one more thing of my list :)

How great thou art

I woke up thinking about my grandmother. My mom's mom. She was a really sweet lady, she was happy and full of energy. She also was a really good cook and always invited me for spaghetti  on my birthday. She used to bring me some of my favorite fruits and ate them with me. She taught me how to play the piano and her favorite song to play was How Great Thou Art.

Every time I hear this song, it remains me of her. I used to cry every single time I heard it. It's gotten better. I don't cry anymore.

I miss her...

Dream

Dream by Priscilla Ahn
I was a little girl alone in my little world who dreamed of a little home for me.
I played pretend between the trees, and fed my houseguests bark and leaves, and laughed in my pretty bed of green.

I had a dream
That I could fly from the highest swing.
I had a dream.

Long walks in the dark through woods grown behind the park, I asked God who I'm supposed to be.
The stars smiled down on me, God answered in silent reverie. I said a prayer and fell asleep.

I had a dream
That I could fly from the highest tree.
I had a dream.

Now I'm old and feeling grey. I don't know what's left to say about this life I'm willing to leave.
I lived it full and I lived it well, there's many tales I've lived to tell. I'm ready now, I'm ready now, I'm ready now to fly from the highest wing.

I had a dream

Wedding Anniversary

Today marks our wedding anniversary number 6!

We've been through good and bad moments but we are still together. We have our relationship in the hands of God and we constantly work in trying to understand, respect, tolerate, love, and communicate each other. No relationship is easy, but we decided to be life giving and to give in a little every once in a while.

We like each other, we love each other, we have fun together, we get bored together, and we could not live without each other. We were brought together from different parts of the world, from miles and miles apart to find each other at one specific place at a specific hour in time and day. We are meant to be together.

Our first dance on our wedding day

We got married in July, the middle of summer and it was scorching hot! I think we pulled it off in this picture :)

New Years Eve 2008

Helicopter Ride on our honey moon in Hawai. We loved it and had an awesome time!

Fun at the lake

We are not only hitting for many more years of happiness, health and love, but that each day is better than the last. Marriage requires lots of work and understanding, but we are willing to stick together and work together.

I love you amor

Well, I think I'm done. This only happens once a year so we might as well make a big deal :)

And last but not least, we want to wish Happy Birthday to a very special lady in our life. Joe's Grandmother Diane a.k.a Nana. She is an amazing lady and we could not be more thankful for everything she's done, specially while I was going to school. She helped me babysit a few days a week and that was the best help I could have ever get. Also, for the unconditional love she gives to our children. We love you bunches Nana!

Enjoy your cupcake ;)

Lucky

I love this song and video

What a neat video don't you think? The lights, the colors, the graphics, the creativity, the music... I love it!

Have a great weekend!

And tomorrow is Joe and I's anniversary, and I have a special post scheduled to show. But you may want to grab a drink or snack before you read it because it's a bit long, and well, you may also want to turn your speakers up!

See ya next week...

Eres mi religion

Eres mi religion by Mana

Ay amor eres mi luna, eres mi sol,
eres mi pan de cada dia

Apareciste con tu luz.
No, nunca te vayas,
oh, no te vayas, no
Tu eres la gloria de los dos
hasta la muerte.

En un mundo de ilusión,
yo estaba desahuciado,
yo estaba abandonado.
Vivia sin sentido,
pero llegaste tu.

Ay, amor tu eres mi religión.
Tu eres luz, tu eres mi sol.
Abre el corazón, abre el corazón.

Hace tanto tiempo corazón,
vivia en el dolor, en el olvido.
Ay, amor eres mi bendición, mi religión,
eres mi sol que cura el frio.

Apareciste con tu luz,
no, no, no me abandones.
No, nunca mi amor.
Gloria de los dos,
tu eres sol, tu eres mi todo
toda tu eres bendición.

En un mundo de ilusión
yo estaba desahuciado,
yo estaba abandonado.
Vivia sin sentido, pero llegaste tu.

Ay, amor tu eres mi religión.
Tu eres luz, tu eres mi sol.
Abre el corazón, abre el corazón.

Ay, amor tu eres mi bendición.
Tu eres luz, tu eres mi sol.
Abre el corazón, abre abre el corazón.

Viviré siempre a tu lado con tu luz.
oh, oh, oh
Moriré estando a tu lado,
eres gloria y bendición,

oh, oh, oh
Eres tu mi bendición.
Eres tu mi religión, yee.
oh, oh, oh

Eres tu mi eternidad,
y hasta eres salvación.
oh, oh, oh

No tenia nada.
Y hoy te tengo con la gloria,
con la gloria, con la gloria.
amor, amor, amor, amor, amor

Eres tu mi bendición.
Eres mi luz, eres mi sol.

You are my religion By Mana

I was walking on the oblivion-drenched streets
I wandered through parks with ghosts and fallen angels
I was without light, without sun(shine)
I had no direction, I was dying
I was flying over the sea
With broken wings
Oh my love, you came into my life
And healed my wounds
Oh my love, you’re my moon, you’re my sun
You’re my daily bread
You appeared with your light
No, don’t ever go
Oh, don’t go, no
You’re the glory of the two of us
Till death
In an illusion world
I was a hopeless case
I was abandoned
My life made no sense
But then you arrived
Oh my love, you’re my religion
You’re light, you’re my sun
Open your heart, open your heart
A long time ago my sweetheart
I was living in pain, in oblivion
Oh my love, you’re a blessing, my religion
You’re the sun which cures from cold
You appeared with your light
No, no, no, don't leave me
No, never my darling
Glory of the two of us
You’re my sun, you’re my everything
All of you is a blessing
In an illusion world
I was a hopeless case
I was abandoned
My life made no sense, but then you arrived
Oh my love, you’re my religion
You’re light, you’re my sun
Open your heart, open your heart
Oh my love, you’re a blessing
You’re light, you’re my sun
Open your heart, open your heart
I’ll live by your side always, with your light
Oh oh oh
I’ll die next to you
You’re a glory and a blessing
Oh oh oh
You’re a blessing
You’re my religion, yee
Oh oh oh
You’re my eternity
And you’re even salvation
Oh oh oh
I had nothing
And now I have you with the glory
With the glory, with the glory
Love, love, love, love, love
You’re a blessing
You’re mi light, you’re my sun

Is this love

Is This Love- Bob Marley

I wanna love you and treat you right;
I wanna love you every day and every night:
We'll be together with a roof right over our heads;
We'll share the shelter of my single bed;
We'll share the same room, yeah! - for Jah provide the bread.
Is this love - is this love - is this love -
Is this love that I'm feelin'?
Is this love - is this love - is this love -
Is this love that I'm feelin'?
I wanna know - wanna know - wanna know now!
I got to know - got to know - got to know now!

I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I - I'm willing and able,
So I throw my cards on your table!
I wanna love you - I wanna love and treat - love and treat you right;
I wanna love you every day and every night:
We'll be together, yeah! - with a roof right over our heads;
We'll share the shelter, yeah, oh now! - of my single bed;
We'll share the same room, yeah! - for Jah provide the bread.

Is this love - is this love - is this love -

Is this love that I'm feelin'?
Is this love - is this love - is this love -
Is this love that I'm feelin'?
Wo-o-o-oah! Oh yes, I know; yes, I know - yes, I know now!
Yes, I know; yes, I know - yes, I know now!

I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I - I'm willing and able,
So I throw my cards on your table!
See: I wanna love ya, I wanna love and treat ya -
love and treat ya right.
I wanna love you every day and every night:
We'll be together, with a roof right over our heads!
We'll share the shelter of my single bed;
We'll share the same room, yeah! Jah provide the bread.
We'll share the shelter of my single bed -

Lesson of the Day

Slow Down

  • Savor every second, minute, hour.
  • When in a hurry, sometimes things don't turn out the way we wanted them, because we don't pay attention to detail.
  • There are a lot more important things and beauty in life, but we often miss it.
  • We could make less mistakes.
  • We appreciate the people around us, and focus more on the good than in the bad.
  • Notice the importance in the little things.
  • We can get one extra hug and kiss.

What else do you thing we get when we slow down?

Concrete Sky

Faith has a good side
Still, everyone she ever loved,
They all turned bad
Constance has his own way of breathing
You know you couldn't will him to survive
Couldn't will him if you if you tried

There's a concrete sky
Falling from the trees again
And I know now why
It's not coming round too soon
It's harder than a heartbreak too

I've seen your good side
But I still don't know just what it is that you might want
See, you got your own way of moving
And you know you could save it

Save my soul
Save some for you
Hold my soul
I feel like I'm falling
I feel like I'm falling

And there's a concrete sky
Falling from the trees again
And I know now why
It's not coming 'round too soon
It's harder than a heartbreak too
It's tough enough what love will do

So much time
Got lost in my mind
But I know now what I must rely on
It's a sound, forgetting,
And the worst thing

I've been out walking,
Don't do too much talking
Don't take too much time
Wouldn't take all your time
'Cause it's as precious as mine

Save my soul
Save some for you
Save your soul
I feel like I'm falling
I feel like I'm falling

And there's a concrete sky
Falling from the trees again
And you know now why
It's not coming 'round too soon
It's harder than a heartbreak too
It's tough enough what love will do
And you're as precious as mine
And you're as precious as mine
